English Priemer League (EPL) outfit Queens Park Rangers (QPR) will be
holding friendly matches with Kelantan and Sabah next month as part of
their Pre-Season Asian Tour.
QPR chief executive officer Philip Beard said the match against Kelantan will be held at the Shah Alam Stadium on July 20 while the game with the Sabah All Stars team was scheduled for July 17 in Kota Kinabalu.
“We will bring up our first eleven players to the matches. Its an honour for QPR to come and play in Malaysia and Indonesia next month. Everyone at the club is extremely excited about the tour.
“We hope it will allow our fans in Asia to watch the team in action. This a massive step for QPR to come and play in Asia and we hope it is the first of many more opportunities to come,” he told a press conference on the QPR Asia Tour Announcement at the Air Asia Academy here, yesterday.
