J-League: Match #15 Preview

Urawa Red managed a narrow 1-0 victory last week and will be gunning for another win against FC Tokyo while hoping for Omiya to drop points once again.Antlers were well-beaten 4-2 by Kawasaki on Saturday and slipped down to fifth in the table as a result. Shimizu also lost when J1 returned to action at the weekend, going down 2-1 to Nagoya Grampus. Antlers will need all their experience to recover from their setback in Round 13, and captain Mitsuo Ogasawara will be sure to lead by example in that respect.League-leaders Omiya could only manage a 1-1 draw with Sagan Tosu when they returned to action in Round 13, although they stay top. Grampus managed to pick up their first win in eight games though when they downed Shimizu S-Pulse 2-1 on Saturday.Cerezo weren’t able to claim all three points from their match on Saturday, in the end having to settle for a 2-2 draw against Jubilo Iwata. Marinos similarly had to make do with a share of the spoils in Round 13 when they drew 1-1 with bottom-placed Oita Trinita.Yokohama have for some time now based their success on a solid backline, and in Yuji Nakazawa they have the perfect man to organize the troops.Reigning champions Sanfrecce looked like they were headed for a draw at the weekend but snatched all three points with a last-gasp winner to beat FC Tokyo 1-0. Kawasaki were far more convincing in their weekend victory, comfortably overcoming Kashima Antlers 4-2. Can they maintain that level and claim another win in Hiroshima?Check your TV guides to find out which channel it’s on in your area!
